The National Library of Korea opened a special exhibition this month, commemorating the 60th anniversary of the founding of modern Korea. The exhibition is called ''1948 to the Present'' and highlights Korea¡¯s achievements over the past 60 years.
The displays are divided into five different sections such as economy, society, and culture.
Through 150 rare books visitors can observe the changes throughout Korea's history in areas such as orthography, currency reform, and even fashion.
Organizers here say reviewing successful developments can inspire more to come. For example Korea's burgeoning space activity could some day lead to a future achievement.
Separate displays of the 1988 Summer Olympics and the 2002 football World Cup hosted by Korea are also featured, recapturing the spirit of those times.
The exhibition runs at the National Library until the end of this month.
