Seoul Fails to Make ¡®Best for Business¡¯ List
Hong Kong is the most business-friendly Asian city, while Shanghai ranks best for starting a new business in the next five years, according to a survey by real estate consultancy Cushman & Wakefield. Seoul failed to take a place in both categories.

In a survey of 50 multinational companies operating in Asia, 37 percent of respondents nominated Hong Kong most business-friendly, followed by Shanghai and Singapore (26 percent each) then Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (5 percent). Beijing, Tokyo and India's Bombay also earned 2 percent each. But none of respondents cited Seoul as business- friendly.

Meanwhile 17 percent chose Shanghai as the best city to launch a business in the next five years, trailed by Beijing (14 percent), Mumbai (10 percent), Ho Chi Minch, Vietnam (9 percent), Singapore (7 percent) and Hong Kong and Tokyo (6 percent). Seoul was not named in this category, either.

Singapore (32 percent) was named the best city to station Asia-Pacific corporate headquarters.
