A survey of 700 adults in the nation shows that more people in Korea are warming to the idea of a multicultural society.
When asked what makes a person Korean, nearly 31 percent of respondents considered those with Korean citizenship to be Korean. And while 24 percent answered that being of Korean blood is what makes a person Korean, around the same number of people said it was simply someone who identifies him or herself as Korean.
Respondents also weighed in on interracial marriage with 55 percent saying they would support it in their family. The survey showed that 73 percent see the increase in multicultural families as a positive trend.
