Korea Hosts UN Job Fair
Korea hosted its first large-scale United Nations Job Fair here in Seoul on Thursday to help jobseekers plug into the UN system.

Human resource heads from key UN agencies and affiliates held information sessions offering advice to some 1,500 prospective candidates on how to enter and pursue a career in global organizations.

Representatives from the UN Secretariat, World Food Program, UNICEF and the World Health Organization were among those attending.

The desire to work at international organizations, particularly among Korea's younger generation, has grown considerably in recent years after former foreign minister Ban Ki-moon became the first Korean secretary-general of the UN two years ago.
