Small- and mid-size businesses from across Korea are coming together this week to try and upgrade the role and status of smaller enterprises in the country.
The Korea Federation of Small and Medium Businesses along with 27 business groups and other government agencies have organized dozens of events throughout the week with this goal in mind.
A lecture by government officials about free-trade agreements was held Wednesday to help smaller import and export companies understand and cope with new business conditions.
A fashion show featuring traditional Korean attire was also held at federation headquarters to highlight the industry's cultural and economic value.
