Seoul's Cram Schools to Be Monitored
Private cram schools in Seoul, also known as "hagwon," are falling under closer public scrutiny.

Seoul city's education office will require the after-hours study institutes to submit an outline of their teaching methods and class curriculums at the end of each month.

The cram schools must also report on what efforts they're making to keep tuition at a certain level.

The move comes after the new government included cram-school fees among its list of everyday necessities meriting a price watch.

Seoul's cram schools focused on college entrance saw tuition fees climb more than five percent on average in March compared to the month before.
