A growing number of Korean women are jumping into the work force. The latest report by the Korea National Statistical Office revealed that more women in their 20s are employed than men in the same age group.
According to the report, the employment rate of women last March topped that of men by about one percentage point.
Just eight years ago, women in their 20s lagged behind men by 10 percentage points.
Experts attribute the trend to young women placing a higher priority on their careers than marriage.
