Seoul's new chief nuclear negotiator Kim Sook says North Korea's plutonium stockpile will be the key topic of an upcoming Washington-Pyongyang meeting.
In his first press briefing since assuming the post, Kim said the parties to the six-way dialogue have not been able to discuss the bigger problem of plutonium in detail because the focus, until now, has been more on the regime's alleged uranium enrichment activities and nuclear ties with Syria.
The Associated Press reports U.S. diplomats will head to Pyongyang to elicit a long-promised nuclear declaration.
Kim added Washington is expected to begin erasing the North from its terror blacklist almost simultaneously with Pyongyang's nuclear declaration.
