Chinese 'Puer' Tea Found to Harbor Insecticides: KFDA
Experts are cautioning against drinking certain fermented teas from China. This comes after a tea known as Puer, or Bolay in English, was found to contain traces of insecticides and toxic mold.

Korea's Food and Drug Administration studied 40 kinds of the tea being distributed in China, Korea and Vietnam for safety and found traces of seven insecticides and a cancer-causing fungus called aflatoxin.

Some of the insecticides are banned from use on tea plants and one of them is banned from use for any purpose worldwide.
