Analysts say emerging markets such as China, the European Union and the ASEAN nations are taking over as major export destinations.
The U.S. market share for Korean products has been on the decrease over the years.
Experts point to fears of a possible U.S. recession amid the subprime mortgage crisis as the main reason behind the trend, coupled with growing competition from China.
