Korea Ranks 31st in World Tourism Competitiveness
When it comes to global travel and tourism competitiveness, Korea is 31st in the world.

According to the Travel and Tourism Competitiveness Report 2008, released by the World Economic Forum, Korea earned that spot among 130 countries surveyed.

Korea scored high in terms of human resources, inland transportation, information and communication technology infrastructure, as well as its rich cultural heritage.

However, the latest report indicates that Korea still needs to boost affinity for travel and tourism, price competitiveness and tourism infrastructure.

Switzerland topped the rankings, followed by Austria, Germany and Australia, while Hong Kong and Singapore were the only Asian territories in the top 20.
