First-Class Lineup

Guarded by the heads of five law enforcement agencies, President Lee Myung-bak asks the public, "What do you think of my selections for the Cabinet and government?"

Disappointed members of the public reply, "You just did whatever you wanted. Just carry on as you please."

President Lee has been criticized for selecting his nominees for Cabinet, government and presidential aide posts from a small pool of acquaintances -- mainly graduates of his alma mater, Korea University, fellow members of Somang Presbyterian Church, people from his home region of Yeongnam (Gyeongsang Provinces), and wealthy property owners from the affluent area of southern Seoul.
