The services will be available at the Seoul Global Center, a one-stop total service facility designed for foreigners and foreign investors.

The center says up to now foreigners wanting a credit card had to have a Korean person verify their identity, even if they had a job and bank account, and those wanting a cell phone had to pass several hurdles to put the phones under their name.

Going forward, however, they will be able to get a credit card or cell phone under the same conditions as Korean citizens.
