South Korea has approved its list of guests attending the New York Philharmonic concert in North Korea this coming Tuesday.

Seoul's Unification Ministry says it has allowed a total of 101 people to attend the U.S. orchestra's first-ever performance in the communist state.

Among them, 72 people from MBC, a broadcast station in Seoul, are already in the North making necessary arrangements to cover and broadcast the concert.

On Monday 130 members of the orchestra and their instruments as well as journalists, diplomats and well-wishers will arrive in Pyongyang on a jumbo jet flying in from Beijing.

The orchestra will perform for an elite North Korean crowd, which may include North Korean leader Kim Jong-il.
