Korea has become the worldĄŻs third largest importer of U.S. beef, importing 6,076 tons of beef worth US$33.453 million in September. According to data from the U.S. Meat Export Federation on Monday, Canada was the largest importer of U.S. beef with $52.67 million, followed by Mexico with $50.81 million. Japan placed fourth with $18.93 million.
For the January to September period, Korea ranked fourth in U.S. beef imports.
