Leading Business Coach to Share Insights at Conference
The globally renowned business coach John Whitmore is in Korea to lecture at the 2007 Global Leadership Festival co-hosted by the Digital Chosun Ilbo¡¯s premium business channel Business& and the Korean Leadership Center on Wednesday.

Whitmore is the head of Performance Consultants International, one of the U.K.¡¯s most acclaimed consulting companies, and has given advice to some 56 multinational companies including IBM, IKEA and T-MOBIL. He was named best business coach by Britain¡¯s Independent newspaper and the most influential business coach by the U.K. Association of Coaching. His book entitled ¡°Coaching for Performance¡± has been translated into 22 languages and has sold some 50,000 copies worldwide.

In his lecture, Whitmore is expected to talk about the booming field of business coaching and illustrate it with solutions taken by the companies he has advised and the results. There will also be a session where Whitmore shows how coaching know-how can drastically enhance the performance of organizations.

In addition, Prof. Moon Yong-rin (College of Education at Seoul National University), Choi Jong-gook (LG Electronics Learning Center) and Kim Young-hun (Posco Human Resource Development Center) are to take part in discussions tackling domestic business coaching, real-life cases and coaching targeted at managers.

The Korean Leadership Center annually holds the Global Leadership Program to nurture competent leaders who can tackle the political, economic, and social problems that the Korean society faces.
