Digital technology company DigitAll World together with SK Telecom announced on Monday that it is developing a software application that lets users watch movies from their home computers or TVs on their mobile phones.

Called Orb, the application streams media such as videos saved on home computers or broadcast on TV over the wireless Internet to mobile devices.

The core technology was developed by Orb Networks of the U.S. DigitAll World via its affiliate Orb Korea is adapting the technology to be used with Korea's wireless networks.

"The technology can be used on all kinds of portable devices that can access the Internet, including mobile phones. We plan to launch the service soon, after final testing," an official from DigitAll World said.
