A U.S. diplomat will lead a three-nation team of nuclear experts to North Korea's Yongbyon plant this week for talks on disabling the regime's nuclear facilities.
Sung Kim, a U.S. State Department official in charge of Korean affairs, will first land in Seoul Monday for discussions with key South Korean officials.
On Tuesday U.S. experts will enter North Korea by land through the inter-Korean truce village of Panmunjeom while Chinese and Russian experts will join them from Beijing.
The international team will survey the Yongbyon plant and work out details with North Korean counterparts on which facilities will be disabled.
