The chief U.S. and North Korean negotiators meet in Beijing to discuss the North¡¯s nuclear program with their Chinese counterparts. Kim Kye-gwan and Christopher Hill were expected to meet one-on-one on Monday or Tuesday, sources in Beijing said Sunday.
This is the first meeting between the two key players in six-nation talks on the matter since a second inter-Korean summit was announced last week. Kim arrived in Beijing on Saturday to meet Hill and his Chinese counterpart Wu Dawei ahead of working group meetings on Wednesday in the Chinese city of Shenyang, Japan¡¯s Kyodo news agency said.
The U.S. State Department on Friday said Hill arrives in Beijing on Monday.
