A petition drive by an international civic group is securing much worldwide support in its demand for the safe release of the Korean hostages.
The global civic group, Avaaz.org, with members in almost two hundred countries, promotes progressive political action on issues including religious conflicts.
As of noon Monday, Korea time, more than 58,000 people had signed the petition.
The group has now raised its original petition goal of 50,000 signatures to 65,000.
The organization warns that more hostage killings may force aid agencies to pull out of Afghanistan.
The organization is urging Taliban leaders to respect aid workers as guests in Afghanistan.
