School for Foreign Kids Taking Shape
As early as 2009, a school could be established in Korea for the first time to benefit children of mixed race.

Global Civic Sharing, an organization that supports foreign workers in Korea, says it will set up an educational institution for the children of foreign workers living in Korea.

To start off, the organization plans to enroll 180 primary school students and recruit 10 Korean teachers as well as teachers of foreign languages.

A representative of the group says the latest plan comes in line with efforts to help foreign children more quickly adapt to Korean life and society.

But ultimately it's to provide educational opportunities for foreign kids, equal to those for Koreans.
