Kia Motors¡¯ compact Cee¡¯d topped all categories in a comparative study of four compact models with a 1.6-liter gasoline engine by German auto magazine ACE Lenkrad. Under the title of ¡°Golf Tournament¡±, the magazine compared the Volkswagen Golf, which is way ahead in the European compact car market, with three pretenders -- the Kia Cee¡¯d, Opel Astra and Toyota Auris -- and concluded the Cee¡¯d was ¡°the real surprise.¡±

ACE Lenkrad said the Korean model ¡°shows barely any weaknesses in the test and besides makes a solid impression,¡± calling it the only model to outdo the Golf. The study was conducted in four categories: body and interior; comfort and driving characteristics; engine and technology; and price and equipment.
