Korean mobile phone-makers like LG Electronics and Samsung Electronics are expected to have fared well in the global market during the second quarter due to growing popularity of their latest models overseas.
According to industry sources LG Electronics has sold nearly 20 million handsets since April, jumping 20 percent from the first quarter.
Analysts say at the rate it's going LG phones are likely to report the highest growth rate among major international competitors like Nokia and Motorola.
Samsung Electronics, meanwhile, expects to have sold close to 40 million units between April and June, up 12 percent from the previous three months.
