For the first time a Korean brokerage has taken steps to launch operations in Vietnam. Korea Investment and Securities said it signed a memorandum of understanding with Vietnam's State Capital Investment Corporation, paving the way for the brokerage to form an investment fund in the Southeast Asian country. A Vietnamese subsidiary will follow the fund's launch. Since embracing broad market reforms 20 years ago, Vietnam's economy has grown at one of the fastest rates in the world.
