An army officer has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting subordinates on several occasions since the beginning of the year. The major identified as Ryu was taken into custody at an Army base in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi Province on July 21, it was revealed Monday. According to the military, Ryu stands accused of fondling some 20 soldiers on 60 occasions since February during gatherings, in his office and in the men’s living quarters. Ryu is undergoing a psychological evaluation.
