Korea to Develop Combat Robots
A new version of the Robot for Hazardous Application or ROBHAZ-DT3 used by Korean troops in Iraq has been created. The ROBHAZ-DT5 jointly developed by Yujin Robot and the state-run Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) can carry on traveling when it overturns in rough terrain.

It is equipped with laser sensors to create a map of the spot where a disaster took place, and infrared cameras to detect victims. It also comes with foldable arms, four cameras and temperature sensors. The ROBHAZ won the RoboCup 2004 championship held by the University of New Orleans, which recognized its technological superiority, and has been exported to Japan.
