Police in the Gyeonggi Province city of Uijeongbu have booked six people after a brawl over the alleged lackluster enthusiasm of one group in cheering the Korean team during a World Cup match broadcast Monday.
Police say the six came to blows at around 4:15 a.m. while watching Korea play France in the World Cup on monitors at the Uijeong city sports stadium.
After France scored the first goal, two people, one of them an office worker identified as Kim, yelled at a group of four people in front, ¡°What are you, traitors? Why don¡¯t you root more vigorously?¡± Incensed, the four attacked Kim and the person with him, police said.
