The forwards camp, which had drawn a lot of speculation, will be made up of Ahn Jung-hwan, Park Chu-young, Lee Chun-soo, Seol Ki-hyeon, Cho Jae-jin, and Chung Kyung-ho. In the formation Advocaat seems to be particularly fond of -- four defenders, three midfielders, three strikers, -- the center position will go to Ahn Jung-hwan and Cho Jae-jin, left will be covered by Park Chu-young and Seol Ki-hyeon, while Lee Chun-soo and Chung Kyung-ho will be at right. Striker-type midfielders Park Ji-sung and Kim Do-heon will be backed up by defensive-type midfielders Lee Eul-young, Lee Ho, Kim Nam-il and Baek Ji-hoon.

The official World Cup ball Teamgeist sits amid the four flags of Group G in front of the banner of the Red Devils, the Korean national football team¡¯s fan club, in readiness for kickoff in Germany next month.

In the defensive camp, which is at the heart of the 4-3-3 configuration, the left and right wingbacks will alternate between defensive and offensive camps, whose role will be taken by Lee Young-pyo, Cho Won-hee, Kim Dong-jin and Song Chong-gug. Kim Sang-shik, Kim Young-chul, Choi Jin-cheul and Kim Jin-kyu have been selected as the center defenders. Goal will be tended by Lee Won-jae, Kim Young-kwang and Kim Yong-dae. Also to accompany the team as standbys are Cha Du-ri, Kim Byung-ji, You Kyoung-youl, Kim Jung-woo and Jang Hack-young.

After the first training of the entire lineup on May 15, the national team is scheduled for two trial games with Senegal and Bosnia-Herzegovina on May 23 and 26 at the Seoul World Cup Stadium. On June 2 and 4, they will play friendlies against Norway and Ghana. The ¡°Taeguk Warriors¡± will start the World Cup in earnest with a game against Togo on June 13.
