Lee Seung-yeop Blasts Homerun in Season Opener
In an opening match of Japan's Central League, the Yomiuri Giants won 12-2 against the Yokohama BayStars thanks to Korean slugger Lee Seung-yup's strong performance that includes a homer.

Lee, the first foreign player in 19 years to bat in the cleanup spot on Opening Day for Yomiuri had three walks and two hits and scored five runs. Also helping the Giants' winning on Friday was pitcher Koji Uehara who improved to 2-3 in season openers by allowing two runs on eight hits with no walks.
