The Japanese-born actress Yu Min (27) is preparing for a triumphant return her homeland via the small screen. At a press conference on Thursday, Yuko Fueki, as her birth certificate reads, confirmed she has signed a contract with the influential management company Oscar Pro and is expected to appear on Japan's Fuji TV in a soap with the working title ¡°Attention Please.¡±

The actress is returning to her homeland five years after she left to come work in Korea in 2001.

Yu Min made her debut in Korea with MBC drama ¡°Our Home,¡± followed by such dramas as ¡°All In¡±, and ¡°Stained Glass Window.¡± But it wasn¡¯t until last year¡¯s stunning performance opposite Son Chang-min in ¡°Bad Wife¡± that she was launched into stardom here. The Japanese press has closely followed her work.

¡°Japanese Actress Yu Min Returns in Triumph,¡± her home country¡¯s Sankei Sports newspaper headlined on Friday, calling her homecoming a ¡°reverse import¡± on the cusp of the Korean Wave. The paper reminded readers that Yu Min has worked with Korean superstars like Bae Yong-joon, Lee Byeong-hun and Jang Dong-kun and now wants to make it Asia-wide.
