Hyundai Motor¡¯s Sonata has been named best family sedan in a survey by U.S. broadcaster PBS¡¯ ¡°MotorWeek.¡± The 2006 Drivers' Choice Awards sponsored by the show are decided by a 15-member panel who make a comprehensive assessment of the performance, technical power, practicality and purchasing value of some 150 vehicles in various categories.
John Davis, the program¡¯s host, assessed the Sonata as "an excellent vehicle that outstrips rivals such as the Toyota Camry and Honda Accord in all categories including comfortable ride, satisfactory quality, and safety." Meanwhile, the Honda Civic was named as the best small car, while the Nissan Infiniti M series was selected as best luxury sedan and the Toyota RAV4 was the best small SUV.
