Local circumstances especially in Italy and Spain will determine how many countries will become Park¡¯s last resting place. In the U.S., the ashes will go to his studio in Manhattan, in Korea to the Paik Nam-june Museum now under construction in Gyeonggi Province, and in Germany in a wing of the Guggenheim Art Museum in Berlin. The interment is scheduled for Feb. 3. Park¡¯s family said there are plans for large-scale memorial services for the artist in February and March in Korea, the U.S. and Germany.
