The number of computer hacking incidents originating from Korea is on the decline. The Information and Communication Ministry says Korea has dropped from second to ninth place on the global list for being the source of cyber attacks. The United States tops the list, followed by Germany.
Citing data from computer security specialist Symantec, the ministry says Korea as one of the world's most-wired countries has been a breeding ground for hackers. It attributes the drop to the government's tightened monitoring system and data recovery measures.
