North Korea hinted Saturday it could ban the global news channel CNN from future visits to the country. CNN recently broadcast what it said was footage of a public execution in the Stalinist country.
The official KCNA news agency denounced the broadcaster for airing ˇ°distortionsˇ± of North Korean law enforcement without confirming the facts. "Given that no other broadcaster has so far dared to broadcast such video images, the incident shows that CNN has degenerated into a political puppetˇ± of the U.S. government, it said.
"We have allowed CNN in our country for news coverage several times and guaranteed the necessary conditions, but with the incident CNN has dug its own grave," KCNA added.
