Financial Firms Offer Free Thanksgiving Rides
Ahead of Korea¡¯s "Chuseok" or Thanksgiving holiday, financial firms are falling over themselves to offer free transport to customers¡¯ hometowns.

KB Card said Sunday it will provide free return transport during the period for selected KB Card and Kookmin Bank KB Star Club members, with buses out of Seoul on Sept. 16 and return buses on Sept. 19. The company plans to operate 150 direct buses to 22 cities including Busan, Gwangju, Daejeon and Daegu for a total of 6,700 passengers. Those wishing to use it must apply on the Kookmin Bank homepage between Monday and Aug. 29, with the winners being confirmed on Sept. 2.

Samsung Life Insurance will choose five lucky families from among applicants on its homepage for helicopter transport to and from their hometowns. The ride out will be provided on the first day of the extended holiday, Sept. 17, and transport back on Sept. 19, the final day.
