On "Chobok," the eighth day of the sixth lunar month, activists from Animal Freedom Korea and other civic groups hold a performance in front of the Government Complex on Friday to protest the consumption of dog meat. Some Koreans make it a practice to eat dog-meat soup on Chobok, which is traditionally considered one of the three hottest days of the year.
