Wal Mart Korea will hold a ¡°Singles Shopping Night¡± at its branch in Jungdong, Bucheon. Unmarried people in their 20s and 30s will be able to do their after-hours shopping and get a chance of a date as they cruise the isles.
Participants are grouped into couples the moment they come in and participate in various games while shopping. A number of prizes will be on offer. The winning couple will get a free four-day stay at PIC Resort in Guam.
Singles in their 20s and 30s can apply at the Jungdong branch or Wal Mart¡¯s website (www.walmartkorea.com) until July 20. The event is free.
A Wal Mart official said the company started the event last year in Germany, where it has become a regular weekend event. The company will donate 10 percent of sales from the event to elderly people who live alone in Bucheon, the official added.
