Recent findings indicate the majority of Korean Internet users are supporting a system designed to identify their real names when logging online.
According to an opinion poll conducted by Yahoo Korea on some 1,600 people, 80 percent of the respondents said they are for the idea of using real names when accessing web pages, while only 19 percent said they are against it.
In a similar survey polled by another Internet portal site, Naver, 65 percent said they agree with the adoption of such approach, while 32 percent said otherwise.
Analysts say the survey results reflect netizens' growing concerns over web postings that often contain insults and hostile remark with no real names attached.
