LG Electronics¡¯ ultra-light MP3 phone LG-KP4400

Arch-rivals Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics on Wednesday both released ultra-light MP3 cell phones that can be worn like a necklace. The Samsung model weighs 87.4 g and the LG model 81 g. The new products both have a 258 MB memory card capable of storing over 60 songs and a 1.3 megapixel digital camera.
The Samsung product has a dial control with which users can select the wanted song. It takes only five to seven seconds for the LG model, which has an exclusive memory chip for MP3 players, to download one song. The two products cost more than W400,000 (about US$400).
