People can see a bra created with a shower head and hose, or get a glimpse of how lingerie designs can be accentuated by a couple of kettles. And how about looking at a variety of high-heeled shoes designed with comical and artistic twists? More than 300 of these works are raising eyebrows in Seoul.
"Not even off the catwalk, these artistic creations by the world's top designers are making many people see bras and shoes in a new light." That is, thanks to a total of 150 designers and artists taking part in the "2005 World Best Bra & Shoes Art Exhibition."
As for bra-themed creations, some works emphasize women's physique, while others try to express women's strength and power using a wide selection of materials and techniques.
Shoes, mainly high-heels, include pieces that have been influenced by fairy tales like Cinderella or even musical instruments.
The organizer says the art works are intended to challenge and open the minds of visitors.
"As well as the two themes -- bra and shoes -- the famous artists and designers created these works around this exhibition's distinctive feature that also represents a wide range of works that push the limits of imagination."
After May 20, these bras and high-heeled masterpieces will showcase in other areas of Seoul before hitting the road to visit Korea's southeastern cities of Ulsan and Busan.
