LG Electronics said it will try to appeal to younger customers with high-end multimedia cell phones when it unveiled new products and introduced its brand strategy on Monday.
LG CEO Park Mon-hwa said the company would focus on manufacturing state-of-the art multimedia cell phones, such as digital multimedia broadcasting (DMB), WCDMA/HSDPA and WiBro gadgets.

The six products unveiled include a 360-degree rotation satellite DMB phone, a slide Bluetooth phone, an ultra-slim 5-megapixel digital camera phone, a 3D game phone, an MP3 music phone and a phone with an inbuilt breathalyzer, for the traffic policeman in all of us.
The satellite DMB phone has a power-saving chip allowing users to watch up to three hours of broadcasts and movies. It is also equipped with a 2-megapixel digital camera.
Park admitted LG¡¯s Cyon cell phones fell short of customer expectations, but the company tried to enhance the quality and design of its products by setting up an integrated handset institute and upgrading cell phone production lines in the Pyontaek Digital Park.
