¡°Wild Seven¡± alluding to Japanese cigarette brand Mild Seven, ¡°Danhill Love¡± instead of Dunhill, ¡°Viogra¡± candy, obviously a nod at Viagra with the slogan, ¡°You'll want to kiss once you lick this candy your special one who loves this candy¡± -- these are some of the products being sold in stationer's shops near primary schools.
Now the Korea Food and Drug Administration (KFDA) has had enough of such attempts to appeal to children with adult-only brand names, publishing on Monday a list of products of concern and vowing to stamp them out by amending what laws and regulations it has to.
According to the KFDA, some products are packaged in Korean playing cards, W10,000 (US$10) bills and W100,000 checks to incite the greed of the little customers, while juice drinks, more worryingly still, come packaged in a syringe.
