The cyber crime squad of Chungbuk police on Wednesday booked six people, including the president of medical monthly identified only by his surname Moon, 38, for creating and running a doctors-only porno site. The police also indicted five people, including a doctor identified as Park, 38, for uploading pornography to the site more than 10 times.
Moon in May last year created a cyber porn café called ¡°Dr. Casanova¡± that only allowed doctors to join on his company¡¯s website, and uploaded over 1,300 porn video clips and images. By doing so, Moon intended to persuade more doctors to subscribe to his magazines, he told the police.
A total of 1,980 doctors made it through the stringent vetting process Moon put applicants through by checking their medical license number or calling the hospital to see whether applicants actually worked there. Most are in their thirties and forties and work in private practice, police said.
