Police have busted an unmarried man for stealing 1,300 womenĄŻs undergarments over the last two years.
BusanĄŻs Haeundae Police Station on Wednesday arrested a 36-year-old man identified as Lee for sneaking into yards or on rooftops during daylight hours to steel womenĄŻs panties and other undergarments from clotheslines.
According to police, Lee stole 1,330 pairs of panties and 60 pairs of womenĄŻs pants in 158 separate attempts since April 2003. This includes three pairs of panties and four pairs of pants stolen from a 46-year-old woman identified as Choi of Busan in January last year.
Lee told police he kept the stolen undergarments in his closet, neatly arranged according to color and kind. He took them out whenever he felt lonely, he said.
