LG Electronics is showcasing its latest IT products at the 2005 Brazil Telexpo. LGE sees the expo as an opportunity to make inroads into the Central and South American mobile phone markets, it announced Tuesday. The exhibition is held from Tuesday to Friday.
Among the cutting-edge products the company is displaying at its pavilion are digital multimedia broadcasting (DMB) mobile phones, wideband code division multiple access (WCDMA) terminals and 3D game phones.
Samsung Electronics said on the same day that it held a Consumer Electronics Forum in Panama, where it invited 500 buyers and journalists from Central and South America. It set up a showroom of some 2,211 square meters for home appliances like 80-inch plasma display panel (PDP) TVs, slim cathode ray tube TVs, camcorders, MP3 players, silver nano washing machines, and air conditioners.
