Cho Jae-jin of Shimizu S-Pulse and Cha Doo-ri of Eintracht Frankfurt have become the first Korean soccer players to star in an international advertising campaign by German sportswear giant Adidas.
Adidas Korea announced Monday the two were shooting football commercials for the company to be screened in May and July.

The campaign is the first using Korean players. Between January 17 and 21, Cho secretly completed shooting of the commercials in the U.K. alongside international star players like Javier Saviola of AS Monaco and David Trezeguet of FC Juventus.
Meanwhile, Cha will appear in adverts along with David Beckham of Real Madrid and Michael Ballack of Bayern Munich.
Cha¡¯s commercial will has a completely different concept to Cho¡¯s, the company said, and will be shot in Madrid, Spain, on Wednesday.
¡°Cho and Cha, who are sponsored by Adidas, are ¡¦ players who will lead Korean soccer in the future,¡± the company said, adding it believes the two can stand comparison with the world¡¯s top players.
