The Culture and Tourism Ministry has launched a new copyright law that gives singers, instrumentalists and record producers complete authority over their work.
Users who upload or download music files via the Internet without the consent of the copyright holders will be found in violation of this law and be required to pay a fine of W50 million, roughly US$48,000, or serve a maximum prison term of up to five years.
