U.S. Congressman Invited Back to Pyongyang
BEIJING -- U.S. House Armed Services Committee Vice Chairman Curt Weldon has been invited back to Pyongyang by North Korea¡¯s Supreme People¡¯s Assembly Presidium President Kim Yong-nam, Weldon said Sunday.

Weldon, who was in Beijing to explain the outcome of his North Korea visit to the Chinese authorities, told a press conference he had been invited to lead another, bigger U.S. Congressional delegation to Pyongyang. He said he would make a decision after examining the schedules of Congress and other lawmakers but hoped to revisit North Korea within the next couple of months.

The head of a six-man congressional delegation that visited North Korea last week, Weldon said North Korea revealed its intention to rejoin the six-party talks on the North¡¯s nuclear issue soon.
