SK Headquarters Designed to Resemble Cell Phone
SK Group's new headquarters in Euljiro 2-ga, central Seoul, will soon provide a central command base when its head office in Seonlin-dong and SK Telecom offices that are currently scattered around the capital relocate here soon.

The uniquely designed building is attracting attention from passers-by with its reflective surfaces. The so-called "T-Tower," tapers to a blunt edge with an unusual kink at the level of the 27th floor in visual mimicry of a cellular phone.

SK Group said that they decided to design the building in a form of a mobile phone because it will be occupied by its affiliate, SK Telecom.

T-Tower stands 33 floors above ground level and extends six floors beneath street level. It was designed by Hong Kong-based architecture company RAD, which is responsible for the exterior of Seoul's Sheraton Walkerhill Hotel.

SK said that glass was used in the architecture to represent the company's policy of transparency. Each glass panel was placed at a different angle to reflect sunlight in a different direction and symbolize SK's determination to respond to the needs of all customers and freely communicate without barriers.
