Mobile Phone Companies Introduce Music Search, Voice SMS
Supplementary services offered by mobile telecommunications companies are getting better and better. New services such as mini-homepage management or music searches are making their appearance in the market.

SK Telecom launched the new Mobile Cyworld that lets its users log on to their Cyworld homepage through a mobile phone. As well as checking photo albums and guest books, one can also surf the homepages of close friends. Photo uploading is also available by photo messaging with a *4200 number. Nate users can enjoy the service by dialing their phone number and the Nate connection button for W1,000 a month.

SK Telecom started a new vocal SMS (Short Message Service) Message Call. By adding ¡®#¡¯ in front of the receiver¡¯s number, callers can send a voice message that is as long as 15 to 30 seconds. Messages up to 15 seconds are W30 and longer ones are W50.

Meanwhile KTF started a new music search service. With Search Music, mobile phone users can receive information on the music they are listening. All they have to do is call 1515 and let the service analyze the tune for about 15 seconds over the phone. Using a music list that has 400,000 songs, the accuracy of the service is higher than 90%. Search Music costs W400 a shot.

LG Telecom released an emotion analysis service that analyzes the mood of users by assessing their voice tone. The emotions are classified by different categories such as happy, sad, bored, true or angry. LG Telecom also provides services like 'couple management center,' where users download the 'affection analysis' system. The service fee is W1,000.
